šŸŒ™ New Moon Reflections: Finding Balance in Practice

ree

As I walk along my journey of redefining and refining my spiritual practices, I’m realizing that meditation is one of those things that can easily slip away from me. I tend to drift into sleep pretty quickly, and for a long time I told myself, ā€œI’ll just do it in the morning.ā€ But then it turned into ā€œI can just do it in bed,ā€ which usually just turned into sleep.

This past week, I challenged myself to shift the timing and meditate at night before bed, outside of my bed, with my back supported against the wall. It’s been incredibly grounding. There’s something about the posture of a straight spine that helps me align my energy, my chakras, and my focus.

Each night, I’ve been releasing what I’ve picked up throughout the day, the energy that isn’t mine and the thoughts that no longer serve, while calling back the parts of me I’ve left scattered... my love, my courage, my clarity. It feels like calling my soul back home before rest.

As I’ve been doing this, I can’t help but notice how much it mirrors this New Moon in Libra, an invitation to return to balance. Libra reminds us that equilibrium isn’t static. It’s a dance, a gentle recalibration between giving and receiving, doing and resting, being and becoming.

Our practices, like our lives, are living things. They shift with the seasons, with the lunar cycles, with who we are becoming. The form that once worked might not always fit, and that’s not failure, it’s evolution.

So if your practice feels off or inconsistent right now, maybe it’s simply asking for a new rhythm, a new posture, or a new kind of balance. Let the scales tip, then find your center again. šŸŒ‘āš–ļø

šŸ•Š Reflection Prompts

  1. Where in my life am I being called to restore balance right now?

  2. What does alignment feel like in my body when I’m truly centered?

  3. How can I create space to release what no longer serves me and call back what nourishes me?

  4. How are my practices asking to evolve with this new season or this lunar cycle?

  5. What does balance mean to me today, not as an ideal but as a living, breathing rhythm?
